Blue Origin is building the transfer stage vehicle for the Lunar Permanence unit and seeks engineers who can design, release, and manage aerospace CAD data in a collaborative team. You will contribute to mechanical layouts and detail parts for spacecraft structure and mounting hardware.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, cross-functional collaboration, and practical manufacturing considerations in a safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD design or equivalent.
• 4+ years in aerospace development or similar.
• Proficiency in drawing release using Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Proficiency in GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies, BOMs, ICMs, and skeletons.
• Experience designing spacecraft primary/secondary structure and mounting hardware.
• Experience in cross-functional design teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts, create detail/assembly drawings and MB-DS, release data using CAD/PLM tools.
• Review drawings to ensure alignment with specs and standards.
• Support engineering with mechanical layout and detail design for structures and assemblies.
• Apply company design and drafting techniques to maintain data for engineering designs.
• Implement standard methodologies balancing cost, schedule and performance.
