Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA seeks an experienced CAD design engineer to develop the transfer stage hardware for lunar missions. You will prepare detailed parts and assemblies, release data via Creo/Windchill, and ensure designs meet ASME Y14.5 tolerances and structural requirements.

The role requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams, strong attention to detail, and hands‑on experience with spaceflight hardware or aerospace development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD drafting and design or equivalent.
• 4+ years in aerospace development or similar industry.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill release processes.
• Knowledge of fits, tolerances and ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies and BOMs.
• Experience with spacecraft structure design and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Create design layouts, detail parts, and release data sets using CAD/PLM.
• Review drawings for compliance with specs and standards.
• Support mechanical layout and detail design for structures and mounts.
• Maintain engineering datasets and apply standard methodologies for cost/schedule/performance.
