Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced CAD/PLM engineer to support avionics part design and release for the Lunar Permanence program. You will generate and release detailed CAD models and assemblies using Creo Parametric and Windchill, while ensuring alignment with standards and specifications.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex assemblies and data sets in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD/Design or related field.
• 4+ years in aerospace development or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Familiar with GD&T ASME Y14.5 and standard fits/tolerances.
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies, BOMs, ICMs, and skeletons.
• Experience designing spacecraft avionics parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts; create detail, assembly, and install models; release data using CAD and PLM tools.
• Apply design techniques to plan, lay out, and maintain engineering data.
• Interface with subsystem teams to place avionics boxes in the vehicle model.
• Review drawings to ensure conformance to specs and standards.
• Implement engineering/ manufacturing methods to balance cost, schedule, and performance.
