Blue Origin is hiring a CAD Designer for the Lunar Permanence unit in Colorado. You will develop layouts and drawings for mechanical, fluids, and avionics components using Creo Parametric and PLM tools.

The role emphasizes attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams. Minimum qualifications include an associate degree in CAD and 2+ years in aerospace or similar industry, with proficiency in GD&T and standard aerospace hardware selection.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD or related field.
• 2+ years of aerospace development experience.
• Proficiency in drawing generation and release processes using Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and standard fits/tolerances.
• Experience selecting aerospace hardware and cross-functional teamwork.
• Strong communication and task ownership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/evolve design layouts and create detailed drawings using CAD/PLM tools.
• Support engineering teams with mechanical layouts and detail parts.
• Apply standard design techniques to maintain engineering data.
• Implement methodologies balancing cost, schedule, and performance.
