Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced CAD engineer to design and release data for lunar transfer hardware. You will create layouts, details, and assemblies, while ensuring alignment with specs and GD&T standards.

Join a cross-functional team focused on safe, reliable spaceflight. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in aerospace, proficiency in Creo Parametric and Windchill, and experience with large assemblies and MBOD-based data.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD & Design or equivalent required.
• 4+ years in aerospace development or equivalent industry.
• Proficient with Creo Parametric and Windchill for drawing release.
• Solid understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies, BOMs, ICMs.
• Experience designing spacecraft primary/secondary structure and mounting hardware.
• Cross-functional collaboration to select materials and processes.
• High attention to detail and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts, create detail drawings and PLM-released data using CAD/PLM tools.
• Review drawings to ensure alignment with specs and standards.
• Support engineering with mechanical layout and detailed design for structures.
• Apply standard design/manufacturing methods to balance cost, schedule, performance.
