Job summary

Raytheon (RTX) seeks a senior controls systems engineer for the Precision Control Actuation System (PCAS) to support development, build, and verification of control actuation systems in a dynamic, mission-focused environment. Roles include architecture design, model development, and rigorous testing across ground and flight environments.

The position requires deep expertise in flight actuation control, advanced control techniques, and the ability to work autonomously with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years experience
• 8+ years of experience in air vehicle or missile flight actuation control design/analysis, including architecture design and requirements development

Responsibilities

• Develop actuation control system architectures and implement advanced control laws
• Design hardware test plans and analyze air performance simulations
• Develop high-fidelity motor and gear train models with nonlinearity and temperature dependencies
• Create and execute test plans to verify performance against requirements and anchor models
