RTX is seeking a principal mechanical design engineer for the PCAS organization to support development, build, and verification of control actuation systems. The role involves autonomous work within a dynamic team at US facilities, contributing to design, test, and integration activities.

Ideal candidates have strong experience in aerospace mechanical design, flight control systems, and MATLAB/Simulink, with the ability to lead complex tasks and collaborate across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree and 5+ years relevant experience.
• Experience in mechanical mechanism design OR flight control systems for aerospace applications.

Responsabilités

• Provide mechanical engineering support across programs, including detailed mechanical design, earned value management, test design/execution, and systems engineering.
• Flex responsibilities based on organizational needs and skill sets.
• Autonomous work with minimal oversight; may manage moderate-size projects and guide lower-level professionals.
