Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Material Control Specialist III to maintain optimal inventory levels to support production and operational efficiency. You will track, analyze, and reconcile inventory records, ensuring accuracy and availability across procurement, production and warehouse teams.

You will maintain data integrity in ERP/MRP systems and participate in improvements to inventory flow and waste reduction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of related inventory/stockroom experience or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems for inventory tracking and control.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership of work products.

Responsibilities

• Monitors inventory levels and ensures materials are available to meet production and operational needs.
• Receives and counts stock items, and records data using computerized system.
• Packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in stockroom in an orderly and accessible manner.
• Conducts cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile stock discrepancies.
• Investigates and resolves inventory variances with procurement, warehouse, and production teams.
• Issues or distributes materials to customers or coworkers based on incoming requisitions.
• Maintains accurate inventory records in the ERP/MRP system.
• Depending on warehouse, may handle packaging and shipping (domestic/international, including dangerous goods).
• Collaborates with suppliers and internal stakeholders to track shipments and expedite critical materials.
• Assists in implementing inventory control policies and process improvements.
• Works on moderately difficult assignments requiring judgment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors or inventory managers.
