Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Material Control Operator II to maintain optimal inventory levels supporting production and operations. You will track, analyze, and reconcile records, collaborating with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to optimize flow and reduce discrepancies.

The role involves data entry in ERP/MRP, cycle counts, and ensuring data integrity while following safety and ITAR guidelines. A valid driver's license is required and familiarity with HazMat shipping is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years stockroom/inventory experience or equivalent
• HS diploma or GED required
• Foundational knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems
• A valid driver's license is required

Responsibilities

• Monitors inventory levels to ensure materials are available for production.
• Receives and counts stock items and records data in the system.
• Packs/unpacks items and stocks shelves in an orderly fashion.
• Conducts cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile stock.
• Investigates and resolves inventory variances with procurement, warehouse, and production teams.
• Issues materials based on requisitions and maintains ERP/MRP records.
• Collaborates with suppliers and internal teams to track shipments and expedite critical materials.
• Supports implementation of inventory control policies and process improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors or inventory managers.
• May assist with packaging and shipping (domestic/international) as needed.
