Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Material Control Specialist II to maintain optimal inventory levels and support production efficiency. You'll track, analyze, and reconcile inventory records, collaborating with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to minimize discrepancies.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, data entry in ERP/MRP, and ensuring material availability. A strong eye for detail and problem-solving skills are essential for this role in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of related stockroom/inventory experience.
• Foundational knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems for inventory tracking.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitors inventory levels and ensures materials are available to meet production and operational needs.
• Receives and counts stock items, and records data using computerized system.
• Packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in stockroom in an orderly and accessible manner.
• Conducts cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile stock discrepancies.
• Investigates and resolves inventory variances with procurement, warehouse, and production teams.
• Issues or distributes materials based on incoming requisitions.
• Maintains accurate inventory records in the ERP/MRP system, ensuring data integrity.
• Some positions may handle packaging and shipping (domestic and international).
• Tracks incoming shipments and expedites critical materials when necessary.
• Assists in implementing inventory control policies and process improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
