Job summary

AeroVironment is hiring a Material Control Specialist II to maintain optimal inventory levels, support production, and ensure data accuracy in ERP/MRP systems. You will collaborate with procurement, production and warehouse to minimize discrepancies and improve inventory flow.

The role requires 1–2 years in stockroom/inventory, a high school diploma or GED, MS Office proficiency, and familiarity with ERP systems. ITAR compliance applies to this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years related inventory experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Foundational knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems for inventory tracking and control.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitors inventory levels and ensures materials are available to meet production and operational needs.
• Receives and counts stock items, and records data using computerized system.
• Packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in stockroom in an orderly and accessible manner.
• Conducts cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile stock discrepancies.
• Investigates and resolves inventory variances with procurement, warehouse, and production teams.
• Issues or distributes materials based on incoming requisitions.
• Maintains accurate inventory records in the ERP/MRP system.
• May handle packaging/shipping including hazardous materials and international shipments.
