Job summary

AeroVironment in California is seeking a Material Control Specialist II for contract work to maintain optimal inventory levels, support production, and ensure data accuracy in ERP/MRP systems.

The role involves cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and collaboration with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to optimize inventory flow and reduce waste. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of stockroom/inventory experience or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels to meet production needs.
• Receive/count stock items and record data in computerized system.
• Pack/unpack items and maintain orderly stockroom.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances with relevant teams.
• Distribute materials based on requisitions and track usage.
