Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a Material Management Manager to oversee Receiving, Shipping and Material Control for all facilities. You will manage the shipping, receiving, storing, tracking, distributing and order fulfillment of materials, ensuring record-keeping and reporting for accounting and property functions.

The role emphasizes controlling materials from receipt through storage to issue and shipment, with opportunities to improve KPIs and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of related functional experience (i.e.- previous stockroom/inventory/shipping) or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency using office software and computerized inventory control system
• Consistently demonstrates strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) and attention to detail
• Demonstrates good understanding of DoT and international shipping and regulations
• Demonstrates familiarity with commercial electronics shipping practices and handling methods
• Experience with purchase order and inventory control data in a computerized MRP system
• Experience supporting FAA and DoT audits as well as administrative support experience
• Experience utilizing UPS, DHL or FedEx online shipping system
• Experience with all facets of inventory management; ABC analysis, cycle counting, remote warehouse locations
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required in order to drive company vehicles

Responsibilities

• Master Scheduling– would create and maintain the overall schedule of products and orders to be produced and shipped, including target ship dates in support of customer requirements and the financial objectives of the business unit.
• Production Planning– create and maintain the manufacturing orders necessary to produce the components, subassemblies and final assemblies in support of the Master Schedule.
• Inventory Control – execute on pulling the parts for the manufacturing orders in support of the master schedule.
• MRP forecasting
• KPI development and management
