Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Senior Mask Design Engineer to design and develop silicon interposers, collaborating with the PTL and design teams. You will perform physical layout with Cadence tools, evaluate layout feasibility for size, cost and system performance, and verify against nets and rules, taking part in trade-off discussions for timely delivery.

The role requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in mask/layout, and Cadence Virtuoso expertise.

Qualifications

B.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
3+ years proven experience in mask and layout design.
Deep understanding of layout concepts in submicron CMOS technologies.
Cadence tools expertise, especially Virtuoso.
Experience with verification tools such as Calibre and ICV; Thunder.
Scripting skills: Perl, Python, Skill.
DRC/LVS flows knowledge and deck customization.
APD packaging layout tool knowledge a plus.
Good packaging technology understanding; strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

Collaborate across PTL and signal engineers to deliver packages on tight schedules.
Perform physical layout for silicon interposer using Cadence tools.
Conduct feasibility studies to meet size, cost, and performance goals.
Study layout floorplan and perform custom layout and verification against rules.
Propose design trade-offs to the PTL for resolution and implementation.
