Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Senior Mask Design Engineer to design silicon interposers and collaborate with cross-functional teams using Cadence tools. You will participate in layout feasibility studies, floorplanning, and verification, with a focus on submicron CMOS concepts and tight project timelines.

The role requires 5+ years in mask/layout, proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso, and scripting abilities (Perl/Python). Base salary ranges vary by level, with equity and benefits as part of the compensation

Qualifications

• Hold a B.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years proven experience in Mask and Layout Design.
• Deep understanding of layout concepts in submicron CMOS technologies.
• Proficient with Cadence tools, especially Virtuoso.
• Knowledge of DRC/LVS flows; ability to customize decks.
• Experience with verification tools such as Calibre/ICV/Thunder is a plus.
• Scripting skills (Perl, Python, etc.) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PTL and engineers to deliver packaging solutions on tight schedules.
• Perform physical layout for silicon interposers using Cadence tools.
• Conduct design feasibility studies on size, cost, and performance.
• Study layout floorplans and perform custom layout and verification against rules/netlists.
• Propose trade-offs to PTL for resolution and implementation.
