Volkert, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer/Construction Manager to support its Maritime and Port service line in the Gulf Coast Region. The role will be based in Volkert’s Gulf Coast offices in Alabama, Mississippi, or Louisiana, with regional travel and remote work as needed.

The candidate will lead design and construction management for port and intermodal projects, coordinate with clients, design firms, and contractors, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance across project phases.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Port Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of design and construction project management on port/maritime projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design engineer for port/maritime projects from concept through design and bid package.
• Manage and deliver construction of port/maritime projects.
• Act as Owner’s Representative with clients and subconsultants during all project phases.
• Prepare Project Execution Plan (PEP) with team and schedule; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Maintain daily field contact and ensure rail safety and right-of-way compliance.
