Job summary

Volkert, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer/Construction Manager to support its Maritime and Port service line in the Gulf Coast Region.

The role will be located in Volkert’s Gulf Coast offices in Alabama, Mississippi, or Louisiana with regional travel and occasional remote work as needed. The candidate will oversee design, project management, and construction activities for port and intermodal projects, including regulatory compliance and railroad coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Port Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required.
• Construction estimating and/or scheduling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design engineer for port/maritime projects from concept through design and bid package preparation.
• Manage and deliver construction of port/maritime projects.
• Act as Owner’s Representative with client, subconsultants, and contractors.
