Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead our enterprise project controls function across a large portfolio of design-build projects. This role drives governance, platforms, analytics, and talent to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

The ideal candidate will have deep leadership in project controls within the AEC industry, with experience across integrated delivery models and a focus on modernizing controls through automation and AI-enabled forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of related experience.
• PMP or PgM certification required.
• Experience leading enterprise project controls across large portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Define the enterprise project controls strategy, standards, methodologies, and governance model.
• Establish project controls approaches for design-build, progressive design-build, CMAR, construction management, and other delivery models.
• Strengthen budgeting, earned value management, forecasting, variance analysis, and schedule control.
• Develop leading indicators, project health reviews, and executive dashboards for margin and delivery risk.
• Lead modernization of project controls platforms, data, and workflows with AI-enabled forecasting.
• Establish scalable standards for document management, records, and collaboration platforms.
