CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead enterprise project controls for a large, integrated portfolio serving municipal, industrial, and federal clients. The role focuses on governance, platforms, and analytics to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

The ideal candidate has deep AEC project controls leadership, experience with integrated design-build and alternative delivery models, and a track record of digital transformation across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

Senior project controls leadership for large, complex portfolios.
Experience with integrated design-build and alternative delivery models.
Proven success with digital transformation, enterprise platforms, and AI-enabled reporting.
Deep knowledge of cost, scheduling, earned value, risk, and document controls.
Strong business acumen and executive-level decision support.
Ability to lead change in a large, matrixed organization.
Experience developing talent and high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Define enterprise project controls strategy, standards, and governance.
Establish controls for design-build, CMAR, and other delivery models.
Strengthen budgeting, earned value, forecasting, and scheduling.
Provide portfolio performance insights and dashboards.
Lead modernization of controls platforms and AI-enabled forecasting.
Establish scalable document controls standards.
Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve outcomes.
Develop schedulers, cost controllers, and control professionals; build career paths.
