Job summary

Lumicera Health Services seeks a Sr. Manager, Industry Relations to lead a team responsible for building and maintaining relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers producing specialty meds.

The role directs contract negotiations to ensure access and favorable terms for the specialty pharmacy and its patients. It requires strategic oversight of the clinical drug pipeline and controlling program outcomes across vendor partnerships.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or PharmD with active license in home state or eligible for reciprocity.
• 7+ years in specialty pharmacy or pharmaceutical industry.
• 5+ years contract negotiation experience, preferably in specialty pharmacy or industry relations.
• 3+ years people leadership or team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy medications and limited distribution drugs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and coach the trade relations team, setting priorities and ensuring execution of engagement strategy.
• Direct the negotiation of distribution and procurement agreements with manufacturers and ensure successful implementation.
• Develop manufacturer strategies related to clinical disease states and formulary alignment.
• Oversee the clinical drug pipeline and identify opportunities for RFPs/RFIs.
• Secure access to limited distribution medications and oversee related agreements, fees, and discounts.
• Establish, monitor, and negotiate pricing and service agreements with manufacturers with policy compliance.
• Maintain relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and identify program opportunities.
• Expand and negotiate manufacturer programs including data and enhanced services.
• Negotiate purchase discounts to maximize cost savings.
• Manage enhanced services and data programs and report on performance during reviews.
• Develop and implement strategies for competitive pharma contract structure.
• Oversee relations with data aggregators and hub services.
• Assist with annual budgets and monthly forecasts for procurement.
• Represent the specialty pharmacy at leadership, industry, and trade groups.
• Ensure reporting capabilities meet internal and external requirements.
• Provide periodic reporting to leadership on activities and trends.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
