Job summary

Lumicera Health Services seeks a Sr. Manager, Industry Relations to lead the trade relations team and develop strategies to engage pharmaceutical manufacturers, negotiate distribution and procurement contracts, and secure access to limited distribution medications for the specialty pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD required; MBA or other graduate degree preferred.
• Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of residence, or reciprocity within 4 months, may be required by state law or contracts.
• 7+ years of specialty pharmacy or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• 5+ years of contract negotiation experience, preferably in specialty pharmacy or industry relations.
• 3+ years of people-leadership or team-management experience.
• Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy medications, including REMS and Limited Distribution Drug (LDD) best practices.
• Commitment to compliance programs and collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and coach the trade relations team, setting priorities and ensuring consistent execution of manufacturer and trade engagement strategy.
• Direct the negotiation of distribution and procurement agreements with manufacturers and ensure successful implementation to achieve compliance and fees.
• Develop manufacturer strategies related to clinical disease states and formulary alignment.
• Oversee the clinical drug pipeline and identify opportunities for RFPs and RFIs for manufacturer programs.
• Secure access to limited distribution medications and manage related agreements, fees, and discounts.
• Establish, monitor, and negotiate pricing and service agreements with manufacturers with policy and compliance oversight.
• Maintain relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and identify program opportunities supporting strategic objectives.
• Expand and negotiate manufacturer programs, including data and enhanced services programs.
• Negotiate purchase discounts to maximize cost savings.
• Manage enhanced services and data programs with manufacturers and report on performance.
• Develop and implement strategies for a competitive pharma contract structure that meets needs of Lumicera, PBM, payers, and patients, including agreements and audit programs.
• Oversee relations with data aggregators and manufacturer hub services.
• Assist with annual budgets and monthly forecasts related to procurement of specialty pharmaceutical products.
• Represent Lumicera at leadership, industry, and trade groups.
• Ensure reporting capabilities meet internal and external requirements.
• Provide periodic leadership reporting on activities, opportunities, performance, and trends.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
