Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Manager, Field Engineering to lead and grow a team of Solutions Architects dedicated to the Startups segment. You will partner with Sales to accelerate revenue, deliver high-value data platform solutions, and ensure customers achieve success with the Databricks Data + AI Platform.

You will hire, train, and mentor top talent, maintaining a strong recruitment pipeline and building executive-level relationships to drive strategic outcomes and growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and leading technical pre-sales teams, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and mentoring.
• 10+ years of experience in the data space with a technical product (data warehousing, big data, ML, or generative AI).
• Trusted advisor to technical executives guiding strategic data infrastructure decisions.
• Ability to lead best practices for qualification, validations, architecture discussions, and product demonstrations.
• Establish and foster external partnerships with systems integrators (SIs) and independent software vendors (ISVs).

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a team of Solutions Architects for the Startups segment.
• Partner with Sales to increase revenue and drive customer success with the Databricks platform.
• Maintain a robust hiring pipeline and develop top talent.
• Set GTM strategy and drive world-class execution toward aggressive sales targets.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
