Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Manager, Field Engineering to lead a growing team of Solutions Architects for the Startups segment. You will partner with Sales to deliver value from the Databricks Data + AI Platform and accelerate customer success.

You will hire and mentor top talent, guide strategic data infrastructure decisions, and align cross-functional teams to meet ambitious GTM targets while ensuring scalable, high-impact deployments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and leading technical pre-sales teams with coaching.
• Experience leading teams in data warehousing, big data, ML, or generative AI.
• Trusted advisor to technical executives guiding data infrastructure decisions.
• Ability to review complex architectures and guide scalable solutions.
• Experience partnering with SI and ISV to accelerate client success.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and grow a Solutions Architects team for rapid growth.
• Lead the technical pre-sales function to increase revenue and customer success.
• Establish external partnerships with SI/ISV to maximize outcomes.
