Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Senior Continuous Improvement Manager to lead CI resources across multiple operations, driving data-driven improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth. The role interfaces with all levels of the organization and reports to the CI Director or Sr. CI Manager.

The candidate will supervise CI/quality professionals, develop KPI actions, and coach teams in Engineering, Data Analysis, and Lean methods to achieve operational excellence across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
• Nine (9) years or more in the Distribution, Warehousing and/or Manufacturing, Transportation, Supply Chain Logistics industry required.
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint & Visio expert required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals. Lead employment decisions (hire, promote, coach, development) and manage performance.
• Lead the development and execution of strategy, scorecarding and KPI action plans; work with Operational leadership to assess site needs.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to translate Ryder Business System concepts to local situations and drive sustainable improvements.
• Develop competency in engineering methods, data analysis, Lean tools, and quality standards; ensure use of methods to improve operations.
• Facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events across stages and sustainment; identify gaps and lead CI team to implement improvements.
• Manage, track, and report progress and value of transformational activities across customer accounts.
