Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain in Memphis, TN seeks a Maintenance Technician III to perform advanced installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with minimal supervision. The role includes mentoring junior staff, reading schematics, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities cover diagnostics, repairs, PMs, training, and data logging with a maintenance software system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing/packaging.
• Exceptional problem solving and maintenance skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work at elevated heights and operate arial lift equipment.
• Customer service oriented and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Perform scheduled and emergency repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and manuals to understand systems.
• Train junior technicians on procedures and repairs.
• Maintain detailed repair logs and data using maintenance software.
• Assist with parts inventory and scheduling to minimize downtime.
• Develop and test PLC logic for automated control systems.
• Follow safety protocols and provide after-hours support as needed.
