Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support industrial maintenance of material handling systems. You will perform preventative and predictive maintenance across mechanical power transmission, electrical and PLC/controls, with basic welding/fabrication skills.

You may troubleshoot component and system issues and rely on higher level technicians for complex problems. Responsibilities include responding to sort calls, adhering to safety standards, and using EAM software to document

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics experience with competency in at least two specialty skills in mechanical power transmission, electrical, or PLC/Controls, with basic welding/fabrication skills.
• Related military experience considered; may substitute with related certificates or degrees.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative and predictive maintenance and repair of material handling systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems; escalate to higher level technicians for complex issues.
• Follow safety standards and participate in safety trainings; maintain a safe work environment.
• Respond to sort calls to diagnose problems and perform repairs; work with EAM data entry and retrieval.
