FedEx Supply Chain in Memphis, TN seeks Maintenance Technician III to lead advanced installation, maintenance, and complex troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with minimal supervision, mentoring junior staff and diagnosing root causes for machinery failures, requiring skills in interpreting schematics, conducting preventative maintenance, and managing complex repairs, including on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience performing mechanical maintenance duties in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent problem solving and maintenance skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work at elevated heights using ladders and operate ariel lift equipment
• Customer service driven and strong team player

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and fixing intricate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues; final escalation point for complex problems
• Performing scheduled and emergency repairs; preventative maintenance; equipment upgrades
• Reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand system operations
• Guiding and training less experienced technicians on procedures and complex repairs
• Maintaining repair logs, performance data, and work records; using maintenance tracking software
• Assisting with schedules and ordering parts to minimize downtime
• PLC logic design, programming (ladder logic), installation, testing, and maintenance of automated control systems
• Following safety protocols and using PPE; communicating with peers and other departments
• Providing after-hours or weekend emergency repair services
• Other duties as assigned
