Job summary

The Maintenance Technician III supports FedEx industrial maintenance of material handling systems, performing preventative and predictive maintenance and repair across mechanical power transmission, electrical, PLC/controls, welding and fabrication.

You will troubleshoot components, interpret schematics and manuals, use EAM software to log data, and collaborate with higher level technicians on complex control systems, with a flexible schedule as needed.

Qualifications

Two (2) years of experience in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics with competency in at least two specialty skills in mechanical power transmission, electrical, or PLC/Controls, with basic welding/fabrication skills required.
Related military experience will be considered.
In lieu of experience, an associate degree in an Industrial Maintenance/electrical/mechanical trade or related certificates or other degrees may be considered equivalent.
Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Provide preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling systems.
Adhere to safety standards and attend trainings and promote a safe work environment.
Interpret electrical or mechanical schematics, manuals and engineering specs to diagnose faults or determine escalation.
Respond to sort calls to diagnose problems and make repairs.
Utilize the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software to log data.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and PLC/controls failures.
May assist higher level technicians and develop scopes of work for small projects.
May work a flexible schedule as business needs dictate.
Perform other duties as assigned.
