Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe professional for a remote role based in the United States. With 7+ years in MQ, mainframe technologies, and Healthcare Claims processing, you will lead design, development, support, and optimization of MQ-based messaging and claims applications while coordinating with onsite and offshore teams.

Qualifications

Strong experience with mainframe technologies, including CICS and MQ.
Experience with Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes and workflows.
Understanding of code migration and release management processes.
Experience with package creation and code promotion across multiple environments.
Knowledge of post-deployment validation and backout procedures.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders and offshore teams.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Ability to work independently while contributing within a team.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement technical solutions for Claims applications by transforming business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant mainframe systems.
Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe Claims applications using CICS, and MQ.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, project managers, and support teams to ensure successful project execution.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore team members and coordinate onsite-offshore activities.
Serve as a key point of contact for technical issue resolution.
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities.
