Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe with 7+ years of MQ, mainframe technologies, and Healthcare Claims processing to lead design, development, support, and optimization of MQ-based messaging solutions and Claims applications. This remote role requires collaboration with onsite and offshore teams and strong problem-solving skills in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with mainframe technologies and MQ/CICS.
• Experience in Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes.
• Understanding of code migration and release management.
• Experience with environment promotion across Development, Test, QA, Production.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with offshore and onsite teams.
• Experience in Agile development.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical solutions for Claims applications by transforming business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant mainframe systems.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe Claims applications using CICS and MQ.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, project managers, and support teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore team members and coordinate onsite-offshore activities.
• Serve as a key point of contact for technical issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities.
