Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced M&P Engineer to support crewed space hardware within the Lunar Permanence team. You will organize material and process requirements, coordinate testing, and ensure documentation and sign-offs across cross-functional groups.

The role emphasizes aerospace materials knowledge, NASA standards, and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to advance lunar vehicle objectives. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• MS degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 8+ years of M&P engineering experience on a crewed space program.
• Knowledge of NASA cleanliness, contamination, toxicity, and life support materials requirements and standards.
• Familiarity with NASA-STD-6001 and related contamination assessments.
• Willingness to travel to vendor sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad support for aerospace materials and processes.
• Own material and process requirement implementation for crewed hardware.
• Lead material characterization and qualification efforts.
• Review production drawings and document reviews.
• Release engineering drawings with M&P signatory.
• Lead internal and external M&P efforts including supplier qualification and testing.
• Develop internal engineering and quality processes for material evaluation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Lunar organization.
