Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the United States is seeking experienced M&P Engineers to join our Lunar Permanence team and help deliver the Lunar objectives. You will apply materials and processing knowledge from design through manufacturing to meet spacecraft requirements.

The role requires hands-on evaluation of aerospace-grade materials, signatory release of drawings, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated M&P engineering experience on a production space program.
• Knowledge of materials and processing review and qualification.
• Experience developing and executing test plans for components, materials, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide M&P engineering support for aerospace-grade materials and processes.
• Provide design engineering support for mechanical systems and mechanism assemblies for vehicle systems.
• Execute characterization and qualification efforts related to materials and processes.
• Review production drawings for large complex assemblies with documentation.
• Signatory release of engineering drawings for parts and assemblies.
• Evaluate lubricants, surface treatments for vacuum and cryogenic applications.
• Characterize friction, wear, and lubrication through testing and analysis.
• Support supplier qualification, first article inspection, testing, and customer updates.
• Develop internal engineering and quality processes to standardize material evaluation and qualification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Lunar organization and other units.
