Job summary

Jabil in Prince George, Virginia, seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer – LV Switchgear to lead design, validation, and lifecycle support of low-voltage switchgear power distribution products from concept to production.

You will own electrical engineering execution, ensure compliance with UL/IEEE standards, and collaborate across global teams. Require 10+ years in LV switchgear, strong leadership on NPIs, and expertise in IEC 61850, protection relays, and EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Power Systems preferred).
10+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 5+ years in LV switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, or power distribution products.
Demonstrated technical leadership on multiple NPI programs and successful product launches.
Expert knowledge of UL 891, UL 1558, UL 508A, UL 845, NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, and applicable ANSI/IEEE standards governing LV equipment.
Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, protection relays, metering, and LV switchgear applications.

Responsibilities

Own the electrical design and architecture of LV switchgear, including protection, control, metering, communications, and monitoring systems.
Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and design deliverables.
Lead design transfer, manufacturing readiness reviews, and production ramp activities.
Collaborate with global teams and support FAT/SAT, commissioning, startup, and field troubleshooting.
