Job summary
Jabil, a global engineering and manufacturing solutions partner, seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer for LV switchgear in Prince George, Virginia. You will own electrical design, system protection, metering, and communications, driving design for manufacturing and reliability across programs.
You will lead cross‑functional teams through concept to production release, ensuring compliance with UL/NEC/IEEE standards and customer requirements while coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Power Systems preferred).
- 10+ years electrical engineering experience, incl. 5+ years LV switchgear/power distribution.
- Demonstrated leadership on multiple NPI programs and launches.
- Expert knowledge of UL/NEC/IEEE standards governing LV switchgear and power distribution.
- Experience with IEC 61850 and Modbus communications; device integration.
Responsibilities
- Own LV switchgear electrical design and architecture.
- Translate customer requirements into engineering specs and deliverables.
- Lead design transfer and production release activities across sites.
- Drive DFM/DFT/DFR and VAVE activities for cost and quality.
- Provide technical interface during design reviews and FAT/SAT activities.
