Job summary

Jabil in Prince George, Virginia is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer – LV Switchgear to lead the electrical design, validation, and lifecycle support of low-voltage power distribution products. You will own electrical engineering execution from concept through production release, aligning with customer requirements, manufacturing capabilities, quality targets, and cost goals.

The role requires leadership on multiple NPIs, strong knowledge of UL/IEEE standards, IEC 61850 and Modbus, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Power Systems preferred) or related field.

Responsibilities

Own the electrical design and architecture of LV switchgear, including protection, control, metering, communications, and monitoring systems.
Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and design deliverables.
Lead development and validation of protection and coordination philosophies, relay setting requirements, arc-flash mitigations, and system studies.
Lead concept development, prototype builds, design verification, pilot production, and production release activities.
Serve as the primary electrical engineering interface for customers during design reviews and issue resolution.
