Job summary

Jabil in Prince George, Virginia seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer – LV Switchgear to own design, validation, and lifecycle support of low‑voltage switchgear products. You will lead electrical engineering execution from concept through production release, aligning with customer requirements, manufacturing capabilities, quality targets, and cost constraints.

You will drive DFMA, DFT, DFR and VAVE, mentor engineers, and collaborate with global teams across validation, certification, and field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Power Systems preferred).
• 10+ years electrical engineering experience, including 5+ years in LV switchgear.
• Proven technical leadership on multiple NPI programs and launches.
• Expert knowledge of UL 891, UL 1558, UL 508A, NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, and ANSI/IEEE standards.
• Strong knowledge of protection relays, metering, and LV switchgear applications.
• Experience with IEC 61850 and Modbus RTU/TCP communications.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical design and architecture of LV switchgear, including protection, control, metering, communications, and monitoring systems.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and design deliverables.
• Lead design transfer, support manufacturing readiness reviews, provide ramp support and ECO implementation.
• Drive DFMA/DFT/DFR and VAVE to optimize cost, performance, and quality.
• Collaborate with global teams for design reviews, issue resolution, and product development.
