Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a spacecraft development engineer to build and validate aerospace models and simulations for lunar delivery systems. You will implement multidisciplinary models, integrate tools, and verify flight software against real and simulated data.

Join a safety‑driven team focused on reusable space systems and cost reduction, using MATLAB, Simulink, and TRICK. Expect collaboration across disciplines and involvement from design through deployment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Physics, Applied Math, or CS.
• 5+ years of software development and debugging, esp. in C/C++, MATLAB, and Simulink.
• Experience auto coding Simulink to C++.
• Strong fundamentals in rigid body dynamics, fluid mechanics, and physics-based models.
• Hands-on experience with CI pipelines and Gitlab configuration management.
• Attention to detail and ownership; willing to perform low-level tasks.
• U.S. citizen/national, permanent resident, or asylum status.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools to design, build, deploy, and support simulation infrastructure.
• Develop and integrate multidisciplinary models for multi-vehicle simulations (MATLAB, Simulink, TRICK).
• Collaborate with GN&C and subsystems to support plant models with varying fidelity.
• Support simulations and verification tools for functionalities.
• Interact with engineers to validate models across disciplines.
