Job summary

Blue Origin in Oregon is seeking spacecraft development engineers to build and validate aerospace models and simulations for lunar landing systems. You will develop and integrate multi-vehicle models using MATLAB, Simulink, and NASA's TRICK framework to ensure accuracy and performance of flight software.

The role requires leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe, repeatable space flight. You will collaborate across disciplines to verify models and support verification

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• 2+ years of software development and debugging in C/C++, MATLAB, and Simulink.
• Strong fundamentals in rigid body dynamics, fluid mechanics, and physics-based models.
• Familiarity with auto coding Simulink to C++.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and CI pipelines such as Gitlab.
• Experience with configuration management.
• Attention to detail and willingness to perform low-level tasks.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Actively involved in developing tools to design, build, deploy and support our simulation infrastructure.
• Develop and integrate multidisciplinary models for multi-vehicle simulation using MATLAB, Simulink, and NASA TRICK.
• Collaborate with GN&C and other subsystems to support low- and high-fidelity plant models.
• Support development and execution of simulations and tools for function verification.
• Interact with engineers across disciplines to validate models.
