Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking spacecraft development engineers to build and validate high-fidelity simulation tools and models for lunar mission scenarios. You will work on multidisciplinary simulations using MATLAB, Simulink, and TRICK, collaborating with GN&C and subsystems engineers to ensure accuracy and reliability.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, model validation, and contributing to the software product lifecycle across design, deployment, and verification stages.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or CS.
• 5+ years software development and debugging, esp. C/C++, MATLAB, and Simulink.
• Experience auto coding Simulink to C++.
• Strong fundamentals in rigid body dynamics and physics-based models.
• Hands-on with CI pipelines (Gitlab) and Git.
• US citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Actively involved in developing tools to design, build, deploy and support our simulation infrastructure.
• Develop and integrate multidisciplinary models for multi-vehicle simulation using MATLAB, Simulink, and TRICK framework.
• Collaborate with GN&C and subsystems engineers to develop plant models.
• Support development and execution of simulations and tools for verification.
• Interact with engineers across disciplines to validate models.
