Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines in the United States is seeking a Service Center Manager to lead a facility with up to 120+ employees, overseeing LTL operations across multiple shifts in a fast-paced dock environment. You will ensure freight moves safely while maintaining strong customer relationships and profitability.

The role demands proven leadership, a customer-focused mindset, hiring/training expertise, and the ability to drive improvements, KPI achievement, and annual business plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years supervisory experience in the LTL industry preferred.
• Must have good computer skills (AS400 and MS Office a plus).
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Strong leadership, team building and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Excellent customer focus.
• Must be able to hire, coach, counsel, train, mentor and terminate employees.
• Possess excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Must be able to work 50 hours per week and across shifts.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct Service Center employees to include setting goals and monitoring performance.
• Responsible for hiring, training and terminations with proper documentation.
• Enforce company safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develop internal/external strategies to meet revenue, service goals, and budgets.
• Create and implement annual Service Center business plans and quarterly reviews.
• Oversee dock, city operations and scheduling for timely freight deliveries.
• Maintain KPI achievement and inter-department collaboration.
