Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a busy LTL Service Center with responsibility for up to 450+ staff across multiple shifts. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, KPI delivery, and strong customer relations in a fast-paced environment.

You will guide dock planning, scheduling, and staffing, while ensuring compliance with company policies, safety rules, and government regulations.

Qualifications

Requires High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of LTL service center operations preferred.
Strong leadership and people management skills required.
Good computer skills including AS/400 and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct employees, set goals, monitor performance, and provide coaching and development.
Oversee dock planning, scheduling, and safe, efficient LTL operations across shifts.
Handle hiring, training, terminations, and paperwork with proper follow-up.
Manage Service Center operations in absence of managers and ensure KPI targets are met.
Ensure safety compliance and customer satisfaction while controlling costs.
Coordinate drivers, routes, and freight movements; document transport details for billing.
