Job summary

Xpress Global Systems is seeking a Service Center Manager to lead a busy LTL service center, directing operations, safety, dispatch and warehousing. You will manage drivers, dockworkers and office staff, ensuring efficient service and compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company policies.

The role requires a four-year transportation management degree or equivalent, 2+ years supervisory experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Transportation Management or equivalent.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience in a similar facility, or at least 5 years relevant supervisory experience.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, coaching and development abilities.
• Understanding of transportation and LTL operations; OSHA, DOT and tariff knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise terminal operations: loading/unloading, customer service, facilities management and all other service-center aspects.
• Review and optimize operations to maximize efficiency and profits.
• Create driver routes and dispatch accordingly to optimize assets.
• Interface with Linehaul to ensure timely arrivals/departures.
• Oversee training and onboarding for dockworkers and staff.
• Manage staffing, schedules, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, policy procedures and regulatory requirements.
• May take on additional duties as assigned.
