Job summary

Estes Express Lines in Dallas seeks an experienced Dock Supervisor to lead and direct dock staff, set performance targets, and ensure an efficient, safe LTL operation. You will enforce policies, coach talent, and participate in hiring decisions while managing daily schedules and paperwork to meet KPI targets.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills, with a willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have management, dispatch and dock experience, preferably in LTL trucking.
• Must be able to work 50 hours/week, including nights and weekends.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, random drug/alcohol tests, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct dock employees; set targets and monitor performance.
• Enforce company policies, safety rules and government regulations.
• Hire, coach, counsel, train, mentor and terminate employees.
• Administer portions of the Service Center Business plan as set by the Service Center Manager.
• Meet all KPIs assigned and ensure daily use of enhancement tools and processes.
• Coordinate with customers via phone, fax or email and manage dock paperwork.
