Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a Service Center, directing up to 450+ employees across multiple shifts in a fast-paced LTL environment. You will ensure on-time freight movement while maintaining safety and strong customer relationships.

The role emphasizes hiring, coaching, safety compliance, KPI attainment, and cost control, with responsibilities including dock planning, route assignments, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of all aspects of an LTL service center.
• Proficient with AS/400 and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct employees; set goals and monitor performance.
• Hire, train, coach, mentor and terminate staff per guidelines.
• Manage Service Center operations in the absence of the Service Center Manager.
• Ensure safety rules, company policies, and customer satisfaction.
• Meet KPI targets and coordinate freight pickups/deliveries.
• Record transport details and conduct driver safety interviews.
• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
