Job summary

Prudential Financial in the United States is seeking a Disability Claims Specialist to serve as a LTDI technical expert, guiding claim professionals and supporting the Team Lead. This fully virtual role may require on-site presence occasionally depending on business needs.

You will provide technical guidance on policy interpretation, medical and vocational considerations, and claim strategy, while coaching others to strengthen decision quality and claim block health.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Long-Term Disability claim management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of LTD policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations.
• Ability to independently analyze complex or high-risk claim scenarios.
• Experience coaching claim professionals and providing actionable feedback.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Long Term Disability technical expert and trusted resource to the Team Lead and claim professionals on complex claim management matters.
• Provide technical guidance on policy interpretation, medical and vocational considerations, claim strategy, benefit eligibility, and appropriate next steps.
• Coach claim professionals through complex claim scenarios and reinforce sound claim management practices.
• Provide timely, actionable feedback that improves execution and decision quality.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for coaching or process improvement.
• Support development and delivery of technical training for claim professionals.
