Job summary

Peerstar is seeking a Certified Peer Support Supervisor to lead and supervise Certified Peer Specialists, ensuring quality services in homes and community settings. The role focuses on supervision, documentation, and recovery-oriented activities to support older adults and peers.

The supervisor will monitor interactions, provide guidance, and coordinate with community resources, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and adherence to program standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; completion of a peer supervisor training within 6 months.
• Two to four years of mental health direct care experience; peer support experience allowed.
• Completion of a peer supervisor training curriculum approved by the State within 6 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly supervision meetings with certified peer specialists
• Monitor and review peer specialists’ documentation
• Ensure compliance with the 10 fundamental elements and guiding principles of mental health recovery
• Assess peer service plans to address current needs and quality of care
• Provide feedback, guidance and support to peer specialists
• Educate on community resources and referrals with peers
• Run daily reports to monitor service delivery
• Assign specialists to peers based on needs and availability
• Oversee initial 6-hour field supervision for new specialists
• Complete high-risk reviews and follow-up as needed
