Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Executive Director in North Carolina to support the Executive Director with daily operations, P&L responsibility, and serving as the community's sales leader and HR contact.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in retirement housing or related leadership, with strong budget, staff development, and regulatory knowledge. Valid driver’s license and on-site duties are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, human services, gerontology, or related field is required.
• Five years of leadership experience in retirement housing, hospitality, or healthcare management.
• Knowledge of CRM, ATS, HRIS and related systems is preferred.
• Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all operations and staff coordination, acting as liaison for residents, staff, and the public.
• Direct oversight of front desk staff including training and supervision.
• Lead recruitment efforts and maintain a high-performing team environment.
• Oversee hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and retention of employees.
• Participate in onboarding and staff development initiatives.
• Ensure care regulations are understood and followed; support resident care programs.
• Manage budget and cash flow with attention to variances and deficits.
• Support in-house sales activities including tours and events.
