Job summary
Cogir Senior Living in Fremont, CA is hiring a Maintenance Technician to uphold the integrity of our senior living communities. You will perform routine building maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and floor care while ensuring repairs meet safety standards and are completed promptly.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in senior living or hotel settings, works independently, manages multiple tasks, and communicates
Qualifications
- 2+ years of maintenance or handyman experience in senior living, multi-apartment, or hotel setting.
- Hands-on experience across HVAC, drywall repair and texturing, carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, painting, floor care.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks with strong time-management.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, floor care, and basic repairs.
- Ensure repairs and service orders are completed promptly and safely.
- Maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment.
- Repair vacated rooms and prepare for new residents.
- Keep common areas well-maintained and walls, floors, doors, and woodwork in good condition.
- Monitor supplies and inventory; ensure accurate maintenance logs.
- Coordinate with local inspectors and fire marshal as required.
- Work within local and state codes.
