Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in California is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain building systems, perform repairs, and address maintenance requests for residents. The role requires proactive, detail-oriented work and a customer-service mindset.

You will handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and routine upkeep, while coordinating with inspectors and ensuring safety standards are met. Join a team focused on quality care and reliable facility operations.

Qualifications

At least two (2) years of maintenance or handyman experience in a senior living, multi-apartment, or hotel setting.
General maintenance skillset includes HVAC, drywall, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, floor care and landscaping.
Able to work independently with good time management and organization.
Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer service mindset.
Comfortable using cleaning chemicals, tools, and machinery.

Responsibilities

Perform routine building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, floor care, and basic repairs.
Ensure repairs and service orders are completed promptly following safety standards.
Maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment.
Repair vacated rooms promptly for new resident move-ins.
Maintain walls, flooring, doors, and woodwork in common areas.
Monitor maintenance supplies and equipment inventory.
Keep accurate records of maintenance work, logs, and inventory.
Communicate with local authorities (fire marshal, inspectors) as required.
Work within local and state codes.
