Cogir Senior Living seeks a Maintenance Technician to uphold building integrity, perform repairs, and ensure safety standards across communities. The role emphasizes proactive service, attention to detail, and delivering reliable, resident‑focused maintenance support.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a similar setting, strong HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical skills, and demonstrates independence and organization in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Professional maintenance-related certifications are a plus, but not required.
• At least two (2) years of prior maintenance or handyman experience in a senior living, multi-apartment, or hotel setting is required.
• Experience with HVAC, drywall repair and texturing, carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, painting, floor care, and landscaping.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently, with good time management and organizational skills.
• Friendly and professional demeanor with a customer service mindset.
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals, tools, and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, floor care, basic repairs).
• Ensure repairs and service orders are completed promptly and safely.
• Maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment.
• Repair vacated rooms and prepare for new residents.
• Maintain walls, floors, doors, and woodwork in common areas.
• Monitor maintenance supplies and inventory.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work and logs.
• Maintain communication with local inspectors and authorities as required.
• Work within local/state codes.
